irkafirka – Illustrated tweets.
Do you use Twitter? It’s mainly for people tweeting about what they ate for breakfast isn’t it? – WRONG!
Well, ok, there is a lot of breakfast-related tweets, sometimes we’re even lucky enough to find out what those people are going to eat for dinner, however if you scrape beneath the surface Twitter is full of creativity and brilliance.
One such example is the work of @irkafirka a duo made up of @pockless the irkafirka artist, and @chrisbell the irkafirka curator. Together they take it upon themselves to magically select a random tweet from the whole of Twitter, illustrate it, and then post it back to the original twit, all within a few hours!
The results are simply brilliant, and quite probably total nonsense, but undoubtedly they bring a smile to the recipient every time. So, if you tweet vividly, why not follow the irkafirka boys, and perhaps one day they’ll spot your mindless projectiles into the Twittersphere and illustrate them for you.
