Casumo recently launched their Sports Book offering to bolster their already impressive online casino presence. As part of their launch they have partnered with Reading FC as the Principle Partner. Casumo commissioned TomandSteve to create a series of videos to raise the profile of this partnership online through social media video production. We’ve shared below some of our favourite campaigns so far.
Casumo x Reading FC – April Fools
With the end of the season nearing, and the usual rise in post season speculation. We pitched the idea to Casumo of developing an April Fools prank whereby Fuchsia becomes a key part of the kit, taking equal prominence to their famous blue and white hoops. We developed this Fuchsia-istic digital world aesthetic to connote ideas of the evolution of Reading FC’s identity. Reading fan’s both loved and hated the new kit in pretty equal measure, generating lots of online discussion even once they had realised it was all just for fun.
Due to Covid-19, Reading fans were unable to travel to the Reading FC stadium to support The Royals in their home games. As such Casumo and TomandSteve developed this neat idea of having fans surprised by the club manager on a Zoom call. The lucky fans had no idea they’d be talking to the main man! We’re chuffed with how well this campaign came out, and our creative Zoom call interface.
Casumo x Reading FC – Surprise Zoom Call to the Fans!
Casumo x Sandown Racing Etiquette Guide!
With racing returning after lockdown and Casumo sponsoring lots of events this season, they reached out to us to develop some content for racing fans to enjoy. Developed and produced this wacky creative to remind fans how to behave when at the races. Dad humour beware it’s pun-tastic!
Casumo x Reading FC Training Kit Launch
After two fantastic years being front of shirt sponsors, Casumo didn’t want to let go of Reading FC, so for the next 3 years they are continuing their sponsorship of Reading FC as training kit partners for both the Men’s and Women’s team. Due to a Covid-19 outbreak we couldn’t film with the players, so we developed this pumping motion-graphic video to raise excitement for the forthcoming season.
Halloween is always a great time to play some pranks on football players, so we didn’t pass up the opportunity to torment some of the Reading FC team for the enjoyment of loyal fans. We devised a concept whereby the Reading players thought they were doing a quickfire quiz, when in actual fact, they were about to get quite a spooky shock!
Casumo Christmas Quiz!
Casumo and Reading FC teamed up to commission TomandSteve to produce something truly special for the Reading FC fans for Christmas. We put together this epic challenge video, with a few extra-special edits to make the video really ‘pop’. – The response online has been exceptional!
Euro 2020 animation series
Euro 2020 fever has taken hold, with the whole world looking on to see which teams going to become the victor. We pitched this animated content series to Casumo to preview key matches providing them with unique content to help them take part in the conversation online. If you’ve like to see more, you can see the whole series on our blog here.
Cheltenham Festival 2021
Celebrating the return of the Cheltenham festival. Casumo commissioned us to make an animated content series two engage with online audiences, we developed a guess the winner mechanic encouraging fans to interact with the post and check back later to see if they had won. We made a mixture of animation styles, the below is one of our favourites from the set.
If Reading FC did Super Bowl
Taking Reading FC players to a different dimension, we had fun with this idea imaging what they would be like as American Football Players and what kind of positions they might take on.
Rainbow Laces at Reading FC
As part of Casumo and Reading FC’s commitment to inclusivity they worked together with Stonewall’s Rainbow Laces campaign. We produced this highlights edit and added motion-graphics to the video so as to illustrate how much money Casumo donated to relevant charities.
They promised to donate £10 for every completed Royals pass and an extra £100 for every goal we scored on Saturday.
So @CasumoSports have calculated a fabulous final figure of £5,420 – a sum to be split between two charities who celebrate and support inclusivity in sport! 🏳🌈
